Common Questions

Admission FAQs

Answers to the questions students ask us most. Still confused? Come see us!
What is JAMB and when should I register?
+

JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) is Nigeria's national body that conducts the UTME for entry into tertiary institutions. Registration usually opens between January and March each year. You should come to us as soon as registration opens to avoid long queues and website crashes.

What score do I need to gain admission?
+

The minimum score varies by institution and course. Federal universities typically require 180+, state universities 160+, and polytechnics 150+. However, competitive courses like Medicine, Law and Engineering require much higher scores (240–280+). We advise students on what score they need for their specific institution and course choice.

I missed admission last year. Can I still apply?
+

Absolutely. You can re-sit JAMB as many times as needed. There is no limit to how many times you can write JAMB. We help many candidates who are on their second or third attempt and have helped them successfully gain admission.

What happens if I don't get admission after Post-UTME?
+

If you don't get admission after Post-UTME, you have several options: use the supplementary admission window, apply to another institution, use your current JAMB score for direct applications, or re-sit JAMB the following year. We guide you through all these options.

How do I know if I have been admitted?
+

You can check your admission status through the JAMB CAPS portal (caps.jamb.gov.ng) or your institution's own admission portal. We can check this for you, notify you of your status and guide you on what to do next.

Can I change my course or institution after JAMB?
+

Yes, JAMB allows candidates to change their institution and/or course choice through the CAPS portal — usually before the deadline for Post-UTME. We handle this process for you to ensure it's done correctly and before deadlines.
